Magna Carta Weekend Celebrations
Join us to celebrate the anniversary of the Magna Carta with a two-day family event at the site where this historic charter was sealed over 800 years ago.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Meet us in the meadow, located nearest to the tearoom, where you’ll find medieval-themed family crafts, games and activities exploring the very special history and significance of Runnymede. Have a go at digging up some archaeology finds, look out for the longbow and arrowhead display then test your hand eye coordination at archery, take a guided tour with our volunteers to discover more about the stories of this memorial landscape. The Magna Carta tearoom will be open throughout the weekend offering a variety of hot and cold snacks, icecreams and beverages. Alternatively, keep an eye out in the paddock where our team will be serving hotdogs and cold drinks. There is something for everyone this weekend.
