Group Walk - Highs and lows

A challenging walk but offering some of the finest views.

Join our knowledgeable local guides for a walk taking you on a challenging route climbing up from the valley to the top of the Downs with fabulous views of the White Horse before heading down into Charleston bottom then climbing back up to the beautiful Friston Forest and down into West Dean . The final climb takes you up and onto one of the most spectacular views of the Cuckmere River. The walk then heads down to Exceat crosses the valley and turns back for a lovely stroll alongside the Cuckmere River back to Alfriston.

What to bring and wear

Walking footwear is recommended as this walk is over rough ground.

Accessibility

The walk has three reasonably challenging ascents and descents. The walk will be supported by two guides. There maybe livestock in some of the fields.

The duration of the walk is approx. 3 to 3.5 hours.
