Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes to look after the collection at Bateman’s?

Chat with the Bateman’s collections and house team and watch as they clean and maintain items from the collection, from tapestries to Rudyard Kipling’s beloved blue Rolls-Royce.

The team will be looking after the following items:

Curiosity cabinet in the Parlour - 23 July

Curiosity cabinet in Kipling’s Study - 10 September

Model ships in Kipling’s Study - 8 October

11.30am–3.30pm

Please ask at visitor reception for a meeting point.

Please wear clothing suitable for the weather.

Accessibility

The Parlour and Elsie’s Sitting Room are wheelchair accessible via the front entrance of the house. The Rolls Royce garage has a step up into the building and isn’t wheelchair accessible, but it still viewable from the path.
