Everyone is welcome to join in the fun with this once in a generation celebration weekend at Bodiam Castle. In celebration of the National Trust caring for the castle for 100 years, the National Trust are inviting everyone to come in free of charge to experience for themselves what makes Bodiam Castle so special.
Explore the grounds and castle and discover medieval re-enactments, theatrical shows, armour displays, music, community art, archaeology finds, storytelling, history talks, moat tours with costumed guides, new historical displays and even a late-night bat walk* (*this event is bookable).
You are invited to bring a picnic with you and enjoy the day with your family and friends. Or treat yourself to a coffee, ice cream, delicious lunch or cream tea from the Wharf Tea-room. Take home with you a limited edition for 2026 ‘Bodiam 100’ pin badge.
Find out about how the National Trust is continuing to invest in Bodiam Castle through the brand-new interpretation project, ‘The Keys to the Castle’, which brings the historical people and stories of the castle to life in playful and engaging ways.
