Medieval encampment at Bodiam Castle

See 15th century re-enactment groups visit Bodiam Castle and bring medieval history to life.

Walk through a medieval encampment in the castle grounds, meet characters from the 1400s and discover more about the medieval way of life, from the boardgames people played to skills like weaving and leatherwork. Enter the arena to listen to weapons talks, dress the knight, watch sword demonstrations and more.

Company of the Phoenix:

Saturday 24 – Monday 26 May & Saturday 28 – Sunday 29 June, 10am–4pm 12.00 Medieval makeup and medicine talk 13.00 Archery display 14.30 Dressing of the Knight followed by skill at arms display 16.00 (24 & 25 May only) medieval makeup and medicine talk in the castle courtyard.
