Highdown Big Dig - Meet the Archaeologists
Bring along your budding archaeologists to meet members of our archaeology team and witness live excavations at Highdown Hill.

During this year's Festival of Archaeology volunteers from Worthing Archaeological Society, Worthing Museum and the National Trust are seeking to understand the landscape of Highdown from Bronze Age enclosures to Roman farms and Saxon cemeteries. Volunteers are on site daily and you are welcome to explore the site yourself, chat to the team and see live archaeology in action or pop into the finds tent to check out the latest finds. You can also join a daily tour of the excavation - starting at 13:30 at the Highdown Gardens car park, which will share a bit of information on the site's history and updates on the current dig.

Gate free access to the hill allowing for access for wheelchairs and buggies, but challenging ground at certain points.
