Heritage Open Days

Free entry to Standen for Heritage Open Days on Fri 18 and Sat 19 Sept. See our pop-up exhibition in the Conservation Studio 'Benevolent Beales' curated by the volunteer archivists at Standen. 11am - 4pm.

The exhibition showcases how the Beale family women spent their spare time caring for others and supporting the local community. They were involved in various local charities, good causes and organisations like the Girl Guides and the Women’s Institute. Not to be missed, this mini exhibition features a selection of family archive documents and objects from the archive.

A Dangerous Novelty? The Age of Electricity
