Meet Sussex-based basket weaver and designer Matilda Grover, one of the six prize winners selected from Inspired by Standen: The Future of Arts & Crafts.

Matilda works with natural and locally sourced materials to create functional, understated baskets for contemporary living. Her practice draws on historic craft traditions while exploring modern forms and a more sustainable relationship with materials.
Sussex Craft Studios will be joining us throughout the day. Have a go at mark-making with botanical ink and explore the creative possibilities of natural materials. The activity is free and suitable for visitors of all experience levels. No booking is required. Discover Gorringes’ forthcoming auction programme and pick up a complimentary sale catalogue. Heritage Makes Day runs from 10 am to 4 pm and is included with normal admission to Standen.
