We are delighted to be hosting artist Rowynn Ellis again as part of this year’s Conwy Art trail. Rowynn is a local mythology and folklore illustrator, and author of Welsh Monsters & Mythical Beasts.
Rowynn will be at Aberconwy House on Friday 18 September, from 11am to 4pm. Watch them at work, discover the inspiration behind their illustrations and books, and chat with them about the Welsh legends and folklore that bring their creations to life.
Rowynn is currently part of a local group of artists working on a creating an immersive exhibition for the Llandudno Vaults, telling the story of the Afanc (a mythical creature local to the Conwy Valley). We are also hosting a few pieces by one of Rowynn’s fellow artists in this project, Sean Parry.
A display of Rowynn’s artwork will be on show upstairs at Aberconwy House until Saturday 26 September. Please check our website for opening times; www.nationaltrust.org.uk/aberconwy-house
If you can’t make it to Aberconwy House, you can still enjoy Rowynn’s artwork as part of Bodnant Garden’s Calan Gaeaf trail later this autumn.
