Nature's Canvas: Art workshops at Aberdulais
Join us for relaxed and inspiring art workshops with local artist Sue Davies. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, come and explore your creativity - let your artist side flow at Aberdulais Falls!
- Booking advisable
- Admission applies
Starting with the fundamentals of pencil sketching, you'll learn to capture the delicate textures of flowing water, the rugged charm of stonework, and the intricate patterns of weathered bricks and lush foliage. Each session offers a peaceful, guided exploration of sketching techniques (shading, line work, and composition using pencil), nature studies (observing and drawing water movement, plant life, and light), and architectural elements (exploring the historic stone and brick structures of the site).
As your confidence grows, you'll also have the opportunity to progress into other media, including soft pastels (add vibrant colour and atmosphere to your sketches) and introductory oil painting (learn the basics of working with oils to bring depth and richness to your artwork).
Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to expand your artistic toolkit, this class offers a welcoming space to learn, experiment, and be inspired by the stunning surroundings.
