From sketch to abstract painting. An introduction to abstract painting using the landscape of Colby Woodland Garden as inspiration. You’ll be shown how you can use a sketchbook to form ideas and take visual notes. Then be out in the environment, gathering information with sketches, photos and note taking, ready for painting.
Jane will demonstrate techniques in mark-making, using colour, composition and a variety of painting techniques to develop your own expressive, abstract landscape
By the end of the workshop you will have explored landscape in an abstract and expressive way , and painted your own interpretation on 20 x 20 cm paper mounted ready to take away.
