A very special place will open up this weekend to share information about the upcoming Dinefwr Floodplain Restoration project. Recently restored itself, come to Llandyfesiant Church this weekend.
Dinefwr's team will be there with information about the upcoming project to restore the floodplain. If you want to know why there'll be diggers out on the Tywi this autumn - this is your chance.
Led by the National Trust, the Dinefwr Floodplain Restoration Project will restore the traditional floodplain features of the Dinefwr Floodplain National Nature Reserve (NNR) and the River Tywi SAC.
The ambition is to restore and enhance a number of important features such as the oxbow lakes, pools, wetland vegetation, the river and the floodplain grassland. This will create a more resilient and biodiverse habitat.
Supported by the Natural Resources Wales’s Four Rivers for LIFE project and the Floodplain Meadows Partnership.
