A very special place will open on Saturday 31st January to provide a venue to chat about the upcoming Dinefwr Floodplain Restoration project. Recently restored itself, come to Llandyfesiant Church on Saturday to find out more.
Dinefwr's team will be there to chat about the floodplain and the aims of the project to restore the floodplain. If you want to know why there'll be diggers out on the Tywi in the next few months - this is your chance.
Led by the National Trust, the Dinefwr Floodplain Restoration Project will restore the traditional floodplain features of the Dinefwr Floodplain National Nature Reserve (NNR) and the River Tywi SAC.
The ambition is to restore and enhance a number of important features such as the oxbow lakes, pools, wetland vegetation, the river and the floodplain grassland. This will create a more resilient and biodiverse habitat.
Supported by the Natural Resources Wales’s Four Rivers for LIFE project and the Floodplain Meadows Partnership.
