This summer is all about play, whether that’s in Newton House, in the Oak Yard or out in the Deer Park – Dinefwr has got you covered this summer. In Newton House, the Ale Cellar transforms into a Princess and the Pea themed room with space for the adults to relax whilst the children get cosy and watch Sleeping Beauty. Throughout the house, look out for dress up, puzzles, games and the mini figure trail. Not one, but two brand new spaces opening in the Oak Yard this summer. Cardboard Castle – bringing Dinefwr Castle right into Newton House! Next door you’ll find Tŷ Neis, the space for soft scoop ice cream to keep you cool this summer. Don’t forget about the old favourites too, splashing about in water play, making house in Sied Dwt and the Black Raven Bookshop. Places to play, designed with kids in mind. Summer of Play is sponsored by Starling Bank. A visit to Dinefwr includes the magnificent Newton House and its garden, sat within a historic nature-rich parkland, adjacent to the ancient Deer Park and Dinefwr Castle. Within the house there are three floors to explore, including a series of exhibitions, the café and second-hand bookshop. There’s always activities for children in the house and Oak Yard and of places to explore outdoors.
