The Other Bennet Sister Exhibition at Dyffryn Gardens

Grab your dance card and step out into Regency society this spring. Celebrate BBC One’s new series The Other Bennet Sister in one of the very locations where the novel was brought to life.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

As the drama unfolds on BBC One, you’re invited to experience The Other Bennet Sister beyond the screen at Dyffryn Gardens. The house is opening its doors to a very special exhibition celebrating the costumes, craft and creativity behind this elegant new period production.

Discover a stunning display of elaborate period costumes worn by the stars of the show, including Ella Bruccoleri, Ruth Jones, Tanya Reynolds and Indira Varma. Marvel at rich fabrics, intricate detailing and beautifully crafted silhouettes that bring the world of the Bennet sisters vividly to life. Alongside the costumes, you’ll find the accessories that complete each look - many worn in the sparkling scenes filmed in Dyffryn House.

The exhibition offers an exciting chance to explore parts of Dyffryn House that have been closed for conservation. Enter through the Morning Room on the South Terrace then journey through to the Red Drawing Room and Blue Drawing Room, uncovering Dyffryn’s remarkable history, behind-the-scenes photography and the role filming plays in supporting the important restoration work of the National Trust. Even after the exhibition closes on 31 August, conservation work in these rooms will continue - making this a special moment to experience them as they are today.
