Ballet Cymru presents ‘Giselle’ at Dyffryn Gardens

For three evenings in July, let the art of ballet and the atmosphere of the beautiful gardens transport you to the world of Giselle and her ghostly, romantic world.

  • Booking not needed
  • Admission applies

On Thursday 3, Friday 4 and Saturday 5 July at 6.30pm, as dusk starts to settle over the gardens, award-winning company, Ballet Cymru will present their brand new interpretation of 'Giselle', a ghost-filled ballet which tells the tragic, romantic story of a young Welsh girl named Giselle, who falls in love but dies of heartbreak. This interpretation takes you on an unforgettable journey filled with passion, betrayal and forgiveness, featuring Adolphe Adam’s original and hauntingly classical score, innovative choreography by Darius James OBE and Amy Doughty, exceptional and distinctive costumes and immersive video projections. The entire performance will take place outside, on the South Lawn so while the dancers take you on a folkloric journey, the gardens will envelope you in the fairytale-like atmosphere of a summer garden at dusk.

Tickets are available via the Ballet Cymru website and cost £22 (standard) and £11 (concession). The performances start at 6.30pm and end at 8pm.
