Apple Harvest Celebration at Erddig
Join us this autumn as we celebrate Erddig’s annual Apple Harvest Celebration with a host of activities across two weekends the whole family can enjoy.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
The event will see a range of activities celebrating apples held across two weekends - 27 and 28 September and 4 and 5 October, 2025. Wonder at the historic apple display that celebrates the more than 180 varieties grown at Erddig. Purchase a delicious pork and apple bap or warming apple crumble and custard. Have a go at making an apple bird feeder, enjoy apple-inspired games in the garden, try the Golden Apple Hunt in the Wolf’s Den natural play area, make a bird feeder or create clay farm animals. Sip on local cider, browse handmade crafts, and meet talented local makers. Why not relax and get cosy at the fire pit? On both Sundays there will be storytelling by Jake Evans, while on both Saturdays Jake will instead be running children's craft sessions. Enjoy music from choirs and demonstrations from local community creators. On Saturday, 27 September, Welsh folk legends Ar Log will be performing. Don’t forget about our apple pressing demonstrations too - have a go yourself! Our quieter times are before 11am and after 2pm. We recommend that dog walkers using the estate park at Felin Puleston or Sontley Road on event days. The Apple Harvest Celebration is free to attend, but normal admission charges apply, free entry for National Trust members and under 5s. Please note that during both weekends a one-way system for vehicles will be in operation. Visitors will be asked to use the entrance on Hafod Road and to exit onto Sontley Road.
