Join us on a guided group walk across around Porthdinllaen, perfect for anyone looking to gain confidence in walking in the countryside, meet new people or discover new routes around Llŷn.

Along this guided walk, the walk leader will share their knowledge of the nature and history of the surrounding area. During this walk, you will be introduced to an OS map, gain confidence from walking in the countryside and learn how to plot your own routes in the future.

Take in breathtaking sea views along a guided walk at Porthdinllaen. Walk on the beach past the famous pub, hear more about the ongoing work of the seagrass project and discover more of the surrounding countryside.

What to bring and wear

No special clothing required—just dress appropriately for the weather. Sturdy, comfy shoes are advised.

Accessibility

This walk is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Participants should be able to walk continuously on flat terrain for at least 45 minutes. The route includes kissing gates and narrow paths but no stiles to climb.

Other

The walk is approximately 2 miles, lasting 2 hours. We will walk at a leisurely pace, with stops to take in the views and hopefully spot some wildlife. The terrain will be mostly grass, dirt paths, and fields. This route will include steps. Uneven underfoot but it will be mostly flat. Some sections of the coastal path are narrow with sloping drops. The ground may be muddy or slippery in places. There is a toilet and café along the route. Dogs are not permitted on this walk, as the route passes through fields with wildlife and grazing livestock.
