Osian Meilir at Tredegar House
Award-winning performer Osian “Mei” Meilir will bring a unique Calan Gaeaf experience to Tredegar House.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Inspired by the Ysbrydnosau, the spirit nights of the Welsh calendar, Mei will drift through the House as a mysterious presence, appearing and vanishing unexpectedly.
Like a figure caught between worlds, he may be glimpsed in doorways, reflected in mirrors or interacting with objects and visitors before disappearing once more into the shadows.
Meilir’s very early experiences and background of Welsh folk dance has led them to appreciate dance from all different cultures, and to enjoy how dance can build meaningful bridges between people from around the world.
