As part of the Festival of Archaeology, join us at Coventry Charterhouse for a day of discovery exploring the fascinating history hidden beneath the ground.
Uncover what lies beneath this remarkable historic site through our digital archaeology trail, where you can learn more about the discoveries and stories that help bring the Charterhouse and Coventry’s past to life.
Throughout the day, meet teams from CADAS, Coventry Cathedral and Medieval Coventry, who will be sharing their knowledge and expertise on the archaeology and history of Coventry. It’s a great opportunity to speak to local experts and discover more about the city’s rich heritage.
Families can also sign up for a hands-on archaeology workshop. Step into the role of an archaeologist as you explore the sand tray and uncover hidden objects. Can you identify what you’ve found? How old is it? And what clues help us piece together the past?
A fun and engaging day for curious minds of all ages. Come and dig deeper into Coventry’s history with us.
The FREE Archaeology workshops are taking place at 10.30am, 12.15pm, 2.00pm. Please book your place on arrival.
