Family friendly shadow puppet workshops

Drop in this February and get creative making shadow puppets inspired by the magical movement of starlings.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Join us at the Charterhouse for relaxed, family-friendly shadow puppet workshops running throughout February.

In the activity room, you’ll be able to design and make your own starling shadow puppets using simple materials. Once you’ve created your puppet, experiment with light and shadow to bring it to life and create your own mini performances and stories.

These sessions are drop-in, so you can take part at your own pace from 10am to 2pm. They’re ideal for children and families looking for a creative activity.

Your handmade puppets can also be used in our Starling Parade on Wednesday 18 February, or you can simply enjoy the workshops on their own.
