Writing the Muses: A Creative Writing Workshop
Join the former Poet Laureat for Warwick, Cathy Whittaker, and published novelist Connie Ramsay Bott, for a creative writing workshop responding to the Nine Greek Muses, a rare Chelsea porcelain group in Upton's collection.
- Booking essential
This workshop is part of Upton's new programme of events and activities exploring artists and their muses.
Using the Nine Greek Muses modelled by the Chelsea Porcelain Factory, and other works in Upton's art collection, this workshop will look at inspiration in the arts, in the past and the present day. The day will involve a mixture of warm-up exercises, discussion and writing. You’ll have the opportunity to work in memoir, short fiction, and poetry in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. Everyone is welcome, those new to writing as well as those more experienced.
