All the festive charm of Lacock's Christmas grotto, especially aimed at toddlers and pre-schoolers. Cosy up for a story read by Mother Christmas and receive a gift from Father Christmas's present sack. Session lasts 30 minutes and includes a story, present and toys for quiet play.

Call 0344 249 1895 Accompanying adults do not require event tickets in addition to grounds entry purchased on the day.


All children welcome, aimed at ages 0-5.

Meeting point

Meet in Lacock visitor reception to start your visit. It's a short walk to the grotto from the abbey gates so please allow at 15 minutes to get there in time.

What to bring and wear

Dress in your festive best, but wrap up warm. The grotto is cosy but there is a short walk through the grounds to get there. Some baby carriers available to borrow from reception.


The Christmas grotto is on the ground floor accessed via the abbey cloister, with some steps. If you require step free access please let us know and we will accommodate you.
