Creative writing workshop with Helena Attlee

Take part in an immersive creative writing workshop at Berrington Hall, led by bestselling author Helena Attlee

  • Booking essential
  • Admission applies

Guided by bestselling author Helena Attlee, this workshop is a great opportunity to discover new writing skills while exploring the rich collection and elegant Georgian interiors of Berrington Hall.

The session will begin with a private, guided tour of the mansion, followed by a 2-hour writing workshop in the below stair’s rooms, using historic objects and the stories of the mansion to inspire the creative process.

It doesn’t matter whether you want to write fiction, non-fiction or poetry, whether you are new to writing, or looking for fresh energy to bring to an existing project, this will be the perfect way to discover new techniques, strengthen your writing voice, and capture your experiences on the page. Helena Attlee is author of The Land Where Lemons Grow and Lev’s Violin, both broadcast on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Book of the Week’.

This event has been organised in partnership with Arvon, a creative writing charity that helps writers of all ages and abilities to release their imaginative potential. Visit www.arvon.org to find out more.

This workshop costs £35 per person. Normal admission applies in addition to the workshop fee. Booking is essential for this activity. Following the workshop, participants are welcome to explore the rest of the gardens, parkland, and mansion until the property closes at 5pm.
