Summer of Play: have-a-go sessions
As part of the Summer of Play medieval fair, explore new activities each week with different hands-on experiences to try - all included with normal admission. Come back each week to discover something new!

Archery with Teme Archers Thursday 23 and Friday 24 July. Test your aim at our medieval archery range, where visitors can try shooting arrows at targets under the guidance of experienced archers.
Pottery workshop Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 August. Make and decorate your own pottery with guidance from a National Trust archaeologist and take your creation home.
Interactive story trail with LoubyLou Thursday 6 and Friday 7 August. Step into a living tale with costumed storytellers who guide you around the grounds, inviting everyone to take part and become characters in the story.
Knight training workshop Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th August. Join costumed knights for an interactive workshop where participants learn medieval fighting skills, knightly code and the importance of honour and respect.
Rush weaving and basketry Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th August. Learn an age-old medieval craft as an expert guides you in weaving with hand‑picked rush, just as people did in centuries past.
Jester workshop Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th August. Join our medieval jester Ben the Juggler for an interactive workshop full of classic tricks, playful challenges and performance skills brought to life from the royal court.
