Join us for an inspiring still life and life drawing day workshop in the Long Gallery. Whether you are picking up a pencil for the first time or are an experienced artist, this is a unique opportunity to develop your skills in a relaxed and welcoming environment while the house is closed to visitors.
Led by visual artist Catt Standen, this session will include tutorials, guidance, and practical drawing exercises to help you build a portfolio of artworks that explores light, shapes, and movement. Beginning with a series of observational sketching warm-ups, the day will be divided between a morning of still life and compositional studies and an afternoon focused on life drawing and the human form with an experience male life model. The session will conclude with an opportunity to create a final piece or continue developing work from earlier in the day, with guidance and support throughout. All materials will be provided, including and A5 complimentary sketchbook and 2 A4 or A3 canvas boards to complete and take home with you.
You must be 18 or over to take part in this workshop. Admission to Croome is included within the ticket price. The house tea-room will be closed on this day, so please bring a packed lunch with you or purchase food on arrival at the RAF Café.

The workshop will take place on the ground floor, which is accessible via a stone staircase. A stair climber is available for wheelchair users (weather permitting). This creative workshop is suitable for all abilities.
- Meeting point
Meet at the Court at 10am. There is a 15 minute walk from the car park to the Court, so please arrive in time for a 10am start.

- What to bring and wear
You will be using a range of art materials, so please consider wearing clothes you don't mind getting marked or stained.
