Wool log stuffing community day

Come learn about our new innovative project – Stitching the Landscape – and do some hands-on conservation work

  • Booking essential
  • Free event

Funded by National Trails UK and working in partnership with the University of Huddersfield, we have designed and created a new textile wool log, which will hopefully replace those that are used in conservation work and are made from imported coconut coir. By contrast these logs are made using recycled materials from local businesses and wool from our commoners.

In this session we'll stuff the logs with wool and stitch them up - no sewing experience is necessary!

If you want to, you can then help us take the logs up to the moor and install them.
