A scenic walk above the Colne valley from Marsden to Slaithwaite, through the woods at Merrydale and alongside the reservoir before returning alongside the canal to Marsden.
This walk is approx. 7 miles and will take around four hours. Older children and dogs on leads are welcome.
Wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear, bring a packed lunch.

Wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear, bring a packed lunch.

Dogs on leads welcome. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time of the walk so we can cover relevant safety information. Please wear suitable clothing for the changeable weather in Marsden and sturdy footwear. Bring a picnic (or: please bring plenty to drink and snacks). Suggested donation of £3 which goes towards running these walks and restoring the moorland.
