Every flower's story begins with a pollinator.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Guardians of the Garden brings together a collection of contemporary artworks inspired by the pollinators that help our gardens, countryside and natural habitats flourish.
Celebrating everything from bees and butterflies to moths and hoverflies, the exhibition reveals the vital role these remarkable creatures play in the world around us and invites us all to consider how we can become Guardians of the Garden too.
This exhibition as been created in partnership with Gathered Threads, a group of textile artists who met at college as mature students. 'Textiles' is a pretty broad spectrum, including constructing fabrics, sewing things and using previously made textiles as a starting point. Practices differ across the group, both in style as well as technique, but they all include some aspect of textiles.
