Explore the parkland - Family adventure
Would you like to explore the parkland but not sure where to start? Join this informal walk to discover the beauty of the wider estate as part of your Summer of Play adventures.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Would you like to explore the parkland but not sure where to start? With volunteer ranger Sarah and her dog Coco as your guides, get to know the parkland a little better on a gentle walk.
The route will cover approximately 2miles, along the Serpentine towards the Rotunda and back through the deer park. Unfortunately the route is not suitable for pushchairs so we would recommend for those aged 5+ or with younger children in a carrier or sling.
Sarah will give you a flavour of what the parkland has to offer and answer your questions about the estate along the way. She can also show you where to find our parkland den building space to continue your Summer of Play after the walk.
From the two herds of deer, to the Serpentine and its resident wildlife, the woodlands and long-standing trees, butterflies and wildflowers, the 500 acres of parkland is certain to delight both new and regular visitors.
Dogs are very welcome on this walk, but in line with our guidance on site, must be kept on a short, fixed lead.
