Discover the stories behind the folk names of the different marine fossils that can be found at Robin Hoods Bay before heading out for a short stroll on the beach with our staff to look for some of your own. This hour long family friendly session is suitable for children age 6 and above, all children must be accompanied by an adult. £3.50 per child.

- Meeting point
Upstairs in the Old Coastguard Station exhibition room.
- What to bring and wear
Sturdy footwear and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions on the day. Fossil hammers are not required and we ask that they are not used during the event.
- Accessibility
A ramp is available on request to access the Old Coastguard Station, there is a lift to the 1st floor. The beach is accessed down a cobbled slipway and comprises of a rocky foreshore with rough terrain. See access statement on website.

There will be a short introductory talk inside before going onto the beach to look for fossils.
