The International Garden Photographer of the Year and the Wonders of Westbury

In 2020 the National Trust and International Garden Photographer of the Year (IGPOTY) partnered to offer a new award, the Wonders of Westbury Photographic Award, dedicated to images of Westbury Court Garden.

It is the first time the garden has had its own category in the world’s premier garden, plant and flower photography competition. The new free-to-enter award joined nine regular IGPOTY categories including ‘The Beauty of Plants’ and ‘Beautiful Gardens’ which together attract some 20,000 entries annually.

The historic garden, enriched with canals and clipped-hedges, are a perfect location for all types of garden and landscape photography. From the parterre to the tall pavilion and the box hedges and canals beyond, Westbury is a garden utopia, just waiting to be captured.
