Get creative for Christmas at Wordsworth House
Fancy getting creative this Christmas? We’re running two free workshops with Jenny Daymond, illustrator of the National Trust Book of Afternoon Tea, at Wordsworth House shop in the run-up to the festive season.
Drop in on Thursday 21 November between 5 and 8pm or on Saturday 30 November between 11am and 2pm to kickstart an artistic project.
The house and garden won’t be open, but Jenny will be on hand in the discovery room with ideas and practical guidance as you make a Christmas star, paint a Georgian-inspired greetings card or get to work on a project of your own devising.
When it comes to Christmas presents, our shop is full of lovely things, including cute cards, covetable handbags and scarves, inspiring books, cosy rugs and tasty foodie treats.
A year of experiences
Or you could give the people who matter most to you a whole year of special experiences with a National Trust gift membership. It costs just £72 for a single adult and £126 for a family.
From mountain-top views and sea-swept beaches to historic houses, gorgeous gardens and country walks, there are so many incredible places to enjoy, why not let our team wrap up the unwrappable gift?
Our shop on Cockermouth Main Street is open 10.30am to 5pm daily, except Friday, until 3 November. From 6 November to 21 December, it is open from Wednesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.
