Christmas is a magical time no matter where you spend it; however, you'll find Brockhampton is a rather unforgettable place at this time of year.

The night before Christmas at Brockhampton

This year you can step back in time and discover how Christmas was celebrated through the ages at Brockhampton, from medieval feasting to Georgian party planning, wartime Christmases to 1950’s cocktail hour. See the house in all its festive splendor, adorned with greenery from the estate, with musicians performing on select dates.

Enjoy a frosty, winter walk around the estate, see the fairy lights around the courtyard, take a photo under the big bauble tree, and warm up with a coffee or hot chocolate in the Granary kiosk.

Enjoy Brockhampton's Christmas with no need to book.

Twelve days of Christmas trail

Families can also take part in our Twelve Days of Christmas trail, exploring the orchards and finding all twelve gifts 'my true love gave to me'. This trail will be running from 18 November to 7 January. Trails cost £3 per person and include a bag, colouring sheet, colouring pencils, and a prize.

Walking in winter

The lead-up to Christmas is a lovely time to go on a long family walk, followed by a warming hot chocolate. Pick up a map from the car parks or visitor reception to check which walk would best suit you and your family.

The shorter walks include the orchards, which provide a level space to run around, and the woodlands which are very atmospheric on a drizzly day. The longer walks here are between three and four miles and offer panoramic views of the estate; these are hillier than the shorter walks and can get very muddy in winter.

See if you can spot some festive surprises as you walk around the orchards this Christmas...

Warm up at the Granary

Once you’ve explored the outdoors head to the Granary kiosk for some light refreshments and a hot drink to warm you up. We will be serving hot and cold drinks, light lunches, cakes and some festive treats throughout the Christmas period.
