Summer activities at Cherryburn

A child drawing a picture outside

This summer we’re celebrating Thomas Bewick and his legacy with all things art. Have a go at printing, make some wild art, build a den, learn about wildlife, and more!

Monday 23 July – Friday 31 August

All events are drop in activities on weekdays between 11am and 3pm

Events are free but normal admission charges to Cherryburn apply

Wildlife Monday

Become one with nature and discover the wildlife that call Cherryburn their home

Wild art Tuesday

Get inspired by Thomas Bewick, who was a wildchild and loved being outdoors, and make some whacky wild outdoor art

50 things Wednesday

Pick up a scrapbook and see how many 50 things activities you can tick off… can you climb a tree, build a den or hunt for bugs in the wild garden?

Printing fun Thursday

Thomas Bewick is famous for his prints and engravings. Become your very own printer and make a wonderful piece of art to take home

Fable Friday

Did you know that 200 years ago Thomas Bewick illustrated Aseop’s Fables? Gather round to hear a Fable, see if you can figure out the moral of the story, and have a go at colouring in the Fable picture
