There's something really rather magical about a visit to Blickling in the lead up to Christmas. As darkness falls, begin your visit through the magically lit Walled Garden before wandering through the Parterre and along the Temple Walk. Don't forget to warm up with festive treats in the café and enjoy a spot of Christmas shopping, whilst you're here.
Join the elves at Wicken Fen to make a decoration and collect a Christmas craft pack to take home, before popping into Fen Cottage where Father Christmas will be warming his toes by the fire. He will have a present for you too of course!
As well as our big winter illuminations in Cambridgeshire this year, we'll also be dressing rooms for the festive season at Wimpole Hall and Anglesey Abbey, where our tinsel and tweed experience returns. So if you're looking for a festive day out or magical night, there's plenty to choose from - including a visit from Father Christmas himself at Wicken Fen.
As well as Blickling's garden of lights, you can enjoy wandering around both Blickling and Felbrigg Hall, where some of the ground floor rooms will be decorated for the festive season. Join us for a glass of mulled wine or a mince pie with friends and family. Or pop along to Oxburgh Hall for the Percy the Park Keeper winter trail.
If you're looking for a festive day out in Suffolk, then we'd recommend a visit to Ickworth, where rooms will be dressed for Christmas and there will be plenty of festive treats on offer. You can also celebrate a traditional Christmas at Flatford and make a head start on your shopping, or choose from one of our winter walks at Sutton Hoo and Dunwich Heath.
In the lead up to Christmas, why not join us on one of our new winter trails? Join in the fun with Percy and his animal friends and give nature a helping hand as you make your way around Ashridge Estate and Dunstable Downs - who will you come across on the way? You'll also be able to enjoy festive treats from our cafes.
We're inviting you to embark on Percy the Park Keeper's winter wander trail at Oxburgh Hall and Ickworth. Join in the fun with Percy and his animal friends and give nature a helping hand as you make your way around beautiful gardens and parks - who will you come across on the way?
