Poem: Christmas at Dinefwr

Father Christmas with a young girl

Written by Joanna Davies, National Trust Tour Guide

Christmas at Dinefwr, a wonderful time of year,
Community carols, Christmas Fayre and lots of trees of fir.

Come and make a wreath with us, or arrange some festive flowers,
Make a cracker, make a card to while away some hours.

Tree lights and fairy lights, to light our corner of Wales,
Come inside for some mulled wine, and to listen to Christmas tales.

When you see a red bow, around an ancient tree,
It indicates we’re thankful, for everything you see.

To fill the house with music, on a cold December night,
Join us for community carols, around the piano, what a sight.

Our biggest event of all is the traditional Christmas Fayre,
A magical weekend full of joy, we want you all to share!
