Downhill Demesne

Home to Mussenden Temple, Downhill ruins, endless woodland and beautiful gardens you won't be disappointed when visiting us at any time of the year.

Hezlett House

This 17th Century thatched cottage is full of history and stories. Learn about life inside one of Northern Ireland oldest surviving buildings. Also home to the mysterious Downhill marbles display.

Walking

The spectacular cliff-top walk skirts the edge of the property - climb up from the Black Glen past the Belvedere, follow the boundary wall past Mussenden Temple, and see whether you can spot the ice pond on the way to the dovecote.

What's new

We have teamed up with local company Segway Express to offer you a slightly different way to explore Downhill this year.

Our brand new outdoor adventure trail is finished at Bishop's Gate.  Kids will love exploring the spiders web, see-saw, climbing frame and much more! A must see.
