The Dolaucothi Arms is a short walk away, opposite the NT property.

Where is the nearest bank?

Barclays bank is 10 miles away in Llandovery. NatWest is 8 miles away in Llandelio.

Do you take advance bookings?

Booking are taken via telephone, 01558 650365 (March to October), 01558 650809 (out of season).

Do you accept dogs?

Where are some good walks for families?

The National Trust has several walks of varying distances form Dolaucothi, please see the website for up to date routes https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/dolaucothi-gold-mines.

The estate trial https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/dolaucothi-gold-mines/trails/estate-trail-at-dolaucothi is a particularly rewarding and stunning route.

Can we go fishing nearby?

Yes, fishing is available on the Dolaucothi Estate, permits are required and a local fishing permit can be obtained from the Dolaucothi Arms who are responsible for 4 miles of the river Cothi.

Where is the nearest town or village?

Dolaucothi Estate is situated in the small village of Llandwrda.

Where is the nearest bus stop?

Less than 1 mile away, buses go to Lampeter.

Do you accept trailer tents/caravans/campervans?

Trailer tents, caravans and campervans accepted all must have own facilities. We do not accept tents.

Do you have laundry facilities?

No, the nearest is in Launderette in Newcastle Emlyn.  

What places are there to visit nearby?

The campsite is situated on the Dolaucothi Estate which is home to the mine, which is now a popular tourist activity. There are also walking routes, and a river to go fishing in.

Do you take debit and credit card payments?

Yes. There is no fee for debit cards but credit card fees apply at 1.5%

Are you open all year round?

No the campsite is open from 17 March 2017 to 5 November 2017 and 15 March 2018 to 4 November 2018

Can I have a fire or barbecue?

Yes, BBQs are permitted – please ensure they are raised from the ground.

Do I have to pay for the showers?

There are no showers or toilets on site.
