Dress up at Tredegar House

Kids always make a beeline for the dressing up box and shadow puppets at Tredegar House in Newport.

Inside the box youngsters can find costumes created by Tredegar’s very talented Make Do and Mend sewing circle. The outfits and accessories reflect the different eras the house is dressed for, such as the Restoration, Victorian, 1920s and 1930s periods.

Playing a dressing up game with the children is a great way to teach them about these different times.
