Facilities at Great Langdale Campsite
Great Langdale Campsite has all the amenities you'd expect from a modern campsite, plus a few others to help make your stay with us more memorable.
Shop & reception
Located in the centre of the campsite, the shop has a wide variety of items for sale. As well as all the basics you'll need for your stay we sell a variety of local produce, bakery items and hot drinks.
Our campsite staff will be happy to provide advice and suggestions for what to see and do during your stay with us and there is a local information point at reception to give you a few pointers when the reception and shop are closed.
Toilet & shower blocks
The campsite has two toilet and shower blocks. Disabled toilet and shower facilities are available on site. Use of the showers is free to our guests.
Whether you're at home or away there comes a time when you have to do the washing up. You'll find pot washing facilities at both shower and toilet blocks.
Laundry & drying room
If you are staying with us for a few days you might want to take advantage of our on-site laundry and drying room.
If you've never tried climbing, then why not make a start on our on-site bouldering wall?
Those experienced climbers amongst you might like to use the bouldering wall for a little warm-up, before heading off to the real thing.
Children's play area
If you haven't already tired the children out with a walk in Great Langdale valley, then try our children's play area. It's situated in the family field behind reception, with lots for them to explore.
We have a fixed orienteering course around the site. Maps are available from reception for £1.50.
We have a number of mountain bikes for hire which you can rent for a half day, full day or multiple days. Prices start from £12 for a half day and £20 for a full day.
A cosy inn nearby
Should a storm blow in, our pub, the Sticklebarn, is just a short walk away where you can take refuge from bad weather, watch a movie or play board games. Or if you just fancy a night off from cooking, you can swap the campfire for a roaring log fire in the Sticklebarn and tuck into some excellent pub grub.
