Pitch your tent at Wasdale Campsite
Our campsite at Wasdale is located in a spectacular setting at the foot of England's highest mountains and a stone's throw from Wastwater, England's deepest lake.
The hundred tent pitches on Wasdale Campsite are informally spread across this very natural campsite with numerous trees and hedges dividing up the meadows.
All cars are parked at the top of the site to ensure the setting remains safe and visitors can enjoy stunning mountain views.
Advanced bookings only
There is a 3 night minimum stay on Bank Holidays and a 2 night minimum stay for all advanced bookings.
Whilst we are reopening our campsites gradually and safely in line with government guidance, we are not able to accept campers who have not booked in advance. This is to ensure that we can manage numbers on site and allow for social distancing.
Maximum occupancy
One of the things our campers love about Wasdale is the sense of peace and tranquility. So to this end, the maximum number of adults allowed in any party is four. This applies whether you book together or separately.
Tent prices 2022
Pitch prices are shown per night and include 1 tent, 1 adult and 1 vehicle. Additional adults cost £7 per person per night, children (aged 5-17) £3.50 and children under 5 go free.
Please choose EHU (+£5) if you require an electric hook-up .

- Small – up to 3 people (max 3m x 3m)
- Medium – up to 5 people (max 6m x 5m)
- Large – up to 8 people (max 8m x 8m)
