Work in the great outdoors

Coast and countryside volunteering enables you to get outdoors and play a vital role in managing these environments for everyone to enjoy.

Our outdoor volunteers have really varied roles, all of which aim to conserve precious natural environments for people and for wildlife. You could get involved in tasks like dry stone walling, woodland work, maintaining fencing and pathways or counting butterflies on one of our bio-surveys.

You may be able to create and lead guided walks to help our visitors enjoy our moors, mountains, woodland and beaches even more.

" My volunteer journey is just the start of a radically different path in life and a much more rewarding, interesting and ultimately content vocation."

Volunteering in the countryside: Sophie

Long term volunteer Sophie works with the team in South Devon. For her volunteering is a great way to gain skills, and to learn about what is involved in countryside management.
