Summer at Florence Court
Florence Court has a host of activities to keep everyone busy over the summer months, from tours by the housemaid to pond-dipping kits.
Take a house tour at weekends in July and August to hear all about the house from one of the people who knows it best - the servants. They'll tell you all about their day to day life in the early 1900s and regail you with stories of the family and staff who lived and worked there, but don't expect them to know anything beyond 1920!
Our children's tour runs at 1.45pm on weekdays in July and August and is a shorter tour aimed at younger children. See the house with the Tutor or Governess and hear about what life was like for the children who grew up at Florence Court.
All tours can be booked at the Visitor Centre.
Borrow a tracker pack from the Visitor Centre to really make the most of being out on the estate. The packs are full of info and games to keep little ones (and big ones) busy on a day out on the trails.
Borrow one of our pond dipping sets from the Coach House Gift Shop to start ticking off your 50 Things to do before you're 11 3/4! Pick up your nets and specimen jars as well as children's wellington boots.
Don't forget you can also work on your 50 Things at plenty of places across the estate and pick up your stickers at the Shop or Visitor Centre, so what are you waiting for?! Go out and enjoy our special places this summer.
