Family Fun Day

We have everything you need for a great family fun day out at Florence Court on Sunday 31 July. With activities taking place throughout the afternoon, there is something to suit all ages.

Get involved with our summer crafts, or challenge yourself with our treasure trail around the estate. Enter into the sack or egg and spoon race and join in traditional games on the front lawn. Get a team together and have a go at the tug-o'-war! Test your skills with some archery from the Marble Archers or enjoy yourself on the bouncy castle! Make sure the kids get their faces painted to really look the part.

The grown-ups can enjoy live music from the Fermanagh Concert Band and some traditional tunes courtesy of musicians from the Dun Uladh centre. The National Trust gift shop will be displaying a range of gifts to suit all tastes including crafts from local makers. Have a browse in Nelly Wooly’s second-hand bookshop to pick up a bargain.

Take a step back in time on a house tour led by the Butler or the Housemaid as they tell you all about their day to day lives in the early 20th century. Tours will be running throughout the afternoon. Visit the carpenter's shop and sawmill for some demonstrations to get an idea of the estate's working past.

Visit the Stables tea-room for delicious home cooking for lunches and sweet treats. Make sure to pop into the Visitor Centre and browse our range of outdoor products or grab a coffee before heading out around the estate. We’re starting to harvest our summer bounty from the Walled Garden so come along to pick up some wonderfully fresh fruits and vegetables, available at the Visitor Centre.

The fun day runs from 12noon-5pm. Normal admission prices apply, entry is free for National Trust members.
