Join us for a day of spooky fun at Florence Court’s Hallowe’en Fest and Craft Fair on Sunday 30 October! There’ll be plenty of spooktacular things to get involved in from 12 to 4.
Ghosts and Ghouls
Follow the spider’s trail around the estate, looking out for some creepy crawlies along the way. Pop by the Witches Brew to fill up on our magic potion to warm your bones and if you feel brave enough, take a spooky tour of the basement rooms at Florence Court to find out what kind of ghosts and ghouls are lurking!
For a tour that’s less frightening, more factual, the house will be open for regular tours to hear about the fascinating history of the family and staff who lived there. History will be brought to life across the estate, with demonstrations in our forge, sawmill and carpenter’s workshop.
Crafts and Music
Visit the craft fair for locally made homeware and gifts, from home-baking to hand-crafted furniture. Make sure you pop by the facepainting to really get into the Hallowe’en “spirit”! While you peruse the crafts, enjoy live music from local band Below the Line who’ll be providing the background music full of soul(s) and some fantastic traditional tunes courtesy of musicians from the Dun Uládh Centre.
Enjoy a warming meal or some homemade teats (or tricks!) in the Stables Tea-room and try some traditional boxty. Visit the Coach House Gift shop to browse the range of homewares, locally made artwork, books, chocolates and preserves plus a range of quirky gifts perfect for Christmas shopping! Don’t forget to give the bookshop a visit to pick up a bargain.
The Hallowe’en Fest runs from 12pm-4pm and normal admission applies. National Trust members are admitted free of charge.
