'Coming Home for Christmas' at Greys Court

Christmas wreath on door of the Greys Court mansion

This year our Christmas offer will be themed around ‘Coming home for Christmas’. With the house decorated, waymarked frosty walks to follow, and the bare beauty of the walled gardens in winter, join us for a festive day out at Greys Court.

Please note the house is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. 'Coming Home for Christmas' at Greys Court runs from 24 Nov - 5 Jan (site closed on 24 & 25 Dec)

Step into the house

We're celebrating a family Christmas on site this year, with warm lighting, Christmas dinner on the dining table and handmade decorations. With the scent of real fir trees filling the rooms and music playing throughout the house, we'll create a sense of nostalgia and evoke happy memories of Christmases spent with loved ones.

Festive walks

Winter walks are a must at Greys Court, with beautiful views over the rolling Chiltern hills and acres of woodland to explore.

Explore the gardens

The gardens are a delight to explore in every season. Brace the cold this winter for a walk around our wintery gardens, and you’ll be sure to find peace and quiet in Lady Brunner’s haven of tranquillity.

Please note that the cherry garden will be closed for restoration works.

Signs of Christmas around the estate

Find beautiful handmade wreaths on the doors, decorations in the tea-room and a Christmas tree in the courtyard.

Head to the tea-room

After your walk, warm up with a hot drink from the Cowshed tea-room. The tea room will be serving festive treats, such as mince pies, and you may be able to have some lunch inspired by traditional Christmas ingredients, such as turkey and cranberry sandwiches.

Lady Brunner was an avid baker, and the team often use her recipes to inspire what's on offer in the tea-room, so you may be able to sample some of Lady Brunner's gingerbread on your visit.

Have a browse in the shop

Find Christmas cards, decorations, books, children's toys, jewellery and much more. There's something to suit everyone in our shop. What's even better, all your purchases will go towards helping us to look after Greys Court for future generations.

Please check our homepage for our opening times. Greys Court will be closed on 24 & 25 December.
