This elegant four-bedroom apartment on the Felbrigg Estate is a converted former laundry.
Experience the elegance of life at the heart of the grand Felbrigg estate in this spacious four-bedroom apartment. 'The Retreat' was created from a conversion of the former laundry wing for the last of the Felbrigg Squires when the austerity of winters in the Hall became too much. The interiors are in keeping with its 17th-century elegance and the four-poster beds add a little luxury to your stay. Step through its French doors directly out to a private garden. Alternatively, enjoy the rest of the grounds including the West Garden, next to the cottage, with its ornate brick summer house.
There are lots of waymarked trails around the estate for you to follow, as well as a walled garden and parkland lake to explore. As a guest you’re invited to discover the elegant country house of the estate, Felbrigg Hall, free of charge.
Beyond the estate walls, North Norfolk’s heritage coast can be reached within a 10-minute drive. Head to Cromer for its sandy beach, 500 ft pier and links to the Norfolk Coast path. For a slightly wilder coastal scene, drive 30 minutes to Blakeney National Nature Reserve, where you’ll discover its unspoilt sand dunes, marshes and rare wildlife.
