Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions about Stourhead Estate Motorhome Site.

Do I have to be a member of the National Trust to stay with you?

Everyone is welcome to book and to stay, regardless of membership.

I am already a National Trust member; do I get a discount?

There are no reductions for members at our sites due to charity commission rules. However, please be assured that the money raised through the campsite will be put to good use supporting our conservation work locally.

Do you take same day bookings?

No. Bookings are to be made in advance through the online booking system.

Do you accept dogs?

Stourhead Estate Motorhome Site is dog-friendly and all well-behaved dogs are welcome at no additional charge. They must be kept on a lead at all times and exercised away from other campers. Please pick up after your dogs right away.

I have a tourer - Is there space to park my car?

Cars are parked next to the hardstanding pitches on grass.

Do you exchange gas cylinders?

This facility is not available on site.

Where are some good walks?

There are plenty of local walks to explore. The campsite is part of the National Trust property Stourhead, please see website for full details: Stourhead | Wiltshire | National Trust

Where is the nearest town or village?

The closest town is Mere.

Do you accept large Motorhomes?

The 5 hardstanding pitches are 8 metres by 4 metres in size and can therefore only accept units suited to this maximum size. This site accepts motorhomes, campervans and tourers.

Do you have laundry facilities?

No.

Do you take credit card payments?

We accept payment online with debit and credit cards.

Are you open all year round?

The campsite is open all year, however it closes during specific points throughout the year when Stourhead hosts special events. Please check the Stourhead website for full details.

Can I have a fire or barbecue?

Gas-fired barbecues only please, raised off the ground. No fires of any kind are permitted, including disposable barbecues.

Can under 18s stay at the site?

Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Bookings can only be made by an adult.
