About The Old Farmhouse
An old and comfortable cottage, just a 10-minute stroll to the sandy beach of Pentireglaze.If you’re after a rural getaway with a glimpse of the sea, this characterful farmhouse could be your perfect stay. It nestles within working farmland overlooking the Pentire Headland and the north Cornwall coast.
Inside, you’ll find three bedrooms boasting views of the surrounding countryside, a sitting room with an open fire, a large kitchen area and a separate dining room. It can also be opened up on the ground floor to join neighbouring cottage, Overhaven, for larger families or groups.
From here, you’ll be able to stroll 10 minutes down the bridleway to the beach at Pentireglaze Haven, which at low tide links with the famous surfing beach of Polzeath with its coveted Blue Flag status.
In the cottage’s welcome rucksack, you’ll find lots of walking trails that will help you make the most of North Cornwall’s beautiful landscapes. Hike through carpets of wildflowers along the headland and take in the spectacular Pentire Point and Rumps, keeping your eyes peeled for grey seals and peregrine falcons which grace this stretch of coastline.

Three bedrooms (one double with 5' bed and en-suite shower room, one double bedroom with 6' bed which can be a twin upon request, one single bedroom), bathroom with mixer tap attachment over bath and separate large shower.

Please note: There is an induction hob at this cottage. Guests with pacemakers are advised to check with their doctor to ensure there will be no interference with their pacemaker. Guests with pacemakers are also advised to keep a distance of at least 60cm (2ft) from the hob when cooking.
Garden: There is a small level garden at the front of the cottage offering views of the countryside and glimpses of the sea. The other side of the garden is open with Overhaven.
Parking: Parking available in designated space very close to the cottage.
*WiFi: This is now available, but please note that intermittent connection problems can sometimes occur and should not be relied upon. We are pleased to provide free WiFi at this cottage which is supported by BT.
Heating: Gas central heating included.
Fire: The fire or wood burning stove will be laid with sufficient logs for the first evening.
Fire supplies: Fire making kits can be purchased at time of booking or whilst at the cottage.
The Fire making kits cost £20.00 and contain kindling, firelighters and Ash logs, enough for two evening fires.
Offers: Guests will benefit from a late Sunday checkout of 4pm at this cottage.
Free entry to Tintagel Old Post Office on production of booking details subject to seasonal opening hours.
Local suppliers: Discount offered to National Trust guests at Cornish Rock Tors and Outdoor Adventures. These outdoor activity providers offer kayaking, surfing, coasteering and much more.
