High Peak

Set on the fringes of North York Moors and with panoramic sea views, High Peak offers a special stay on the Yorkshire coast. Outside there’s plenty of space too, with an enclosed garden at the front and a patio at the back overlooking Robin Hood's Bay. Up to two dogs are welcome at the cottage and there are lots of walking routes nearby to keep you and your four-legged friends happy.

Abandon your car and set out for a wander along the coast. Robin Hood's Bay is an eight mile round-trip along the cliff-tops. Or you could bring your bike to clock up a few miles on the Cinder Track cycle route which follows the old Whitby to Scarborough railway line. Stop off at picturesque Larpool Viaduct or have a picnic lunch in one of the quiet bays along the way. The countryside around the cottage is full of life at any time of year. In spring lookout for butterflies and birds amongst the wildflowers, and in autumn and winter you have a good chance of seeing grey seals which come ashore to breed on the beach at Ravenscar.

A highlight of holidaying in this region will be a visit to the North York Moors. With miles of heather moorland, rolling hills and wooded valleys, this enchanting national park is a favourite with walkers. Or you could head to the seaside resorts of Scarborough and Whitby which are both a short drive from the cottage.
